Today my dad was driving my moms yukon and he took off from a stop and something let loose and now it has a gear whine sound when your barely moving. It also has no reverse now. It was never used for pulling trailers and only has 80,000 on it and always serviced.

Ive noticed on obd2 gms the radiators fill up with thick nasty sludge, I think it has something to do with the dexcool. I put in green antifreeze in all my stuff and never had this issue.

I dont want to have any trouble with it so if its something that could cause me greif Id rather fix it now.

I need to change the water pump on my truck, Edzzed said I should change the timing chain too. Do I just need to replace the chain or should I buy the whole set of new chain and sprockets?

I do all kinds of welding and work on farm equipment so Im sure I can find something round to tap it in with. Where is the best place to get a new seal? I only want to do this once.

Ive got a tractor apart right now with a rope seal, is this the same type of seal? Or is there a better seal I could use so this doesnt happen again?

Its the seal forsure,I already checked it out. Oil is running down from behind the flywheel.

On my truck the rear crank seal leaks bad, how hard is it to change this? Its in a 2wd, so that should make taking off the transmission easier.

I looked at it this morning and it looks like the bottom radiator hose is pulled down off the water pump about 3/4" from where it should be. Im draining it right now and Ill check that out and see if it fixes the leak. I dont drive the truck in the winter, last year the weatehr held out...
