Whats a 6.2 engine worth?

Ive came across a few 6.2s forsale that were pulled from trucks. Ive seen them from 300-600 bucks. Ive thought about buying one for a project some day if I get a good deal on one. Maybe build a marine engine and find a project boat. Whats a fair price for a running 6.2?

I passed on a good late model 6.2 for $400. I wish now I would have bought it. I also missed a GEP 6.2 that sold for $700 the first day on Craigs list.

How many miles? Running (tested) and below 30K they are worth $950. Scrap metal they are worth a minimum of $75.00. Unless it is a GEP block cracks are a big concern.

Most Ive seen were pulled from the truck. I seen one for 400 running in the truck, I probably should have bought it. The last one I seen I think is $400 out of a 86, the guy said it runs.
