I have Sulastics and they did help the ride.
I have the rubbers for the oem ride height. With my 2" drop the rubbers set firmly on the axle. I tried to get Timbren to send me the shorter one but they didn't want to till I had tried them.
From reading your experience with the shorter rubbers...
Update.
I've ran these for 2 weeks and they will be coming off. The ride is terrible. I'm taking a trip with the 5th wheel this weekend and when I get back their coming off. I had some friends riding in the back seat yesterday that ask what had happened to my truck they said it road like it...
Thanks James I'll check this out. I haven't been flashed so they must be close to right. I just don't blind the people I pull up behind now like with the oem bulbs.
The HID's didn't look like they could be installed but one way in the housing. I'll check this also.
I just installed a set of 4300K HID's last night and I have a couple of questions.
I really like the color of the light everything is much clearer now but the light doesn't seem to go out as far as with the oem bulbs I replaced. With the oem bulbs when I pulled up behind a car I could see...
Instead of bringing this thread back up http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?27403-Running-Spring-Clamps... I thought I would start a new one about these springs.
I had ordered these as a cheaper option to air bags for towing. I ordered them from Rock Auto.
I finally got around...
Paul have you towed your camper yet? That is why I bought these instead of airbags.
I looked at my kit today and the rubber is too tall to fit. With my 2" drop the shorter rubber you have may be just right.
I recently went to Dustin @ Diesel Addiction for some work on '06 LBZ (see sig :))
I've put over 1k miles on it so far and it works great...no harsh shifts at all. I was worried it might shift hard and run warmer that stock but thats not the case, shifts smooth as glass.
IF your over on...
Paul did you get the new rubber installed? I haven't had the time to try to install mine but I'm sure they will be too long also. I called Timbren and was told to try to in stall they they would ship me shorter rubber. I have 7" between frame and axle.
Paul...a couple of questions. What did you use to compress the springs when you installed the clamps? Will a floor jack do it?
When you called Timbren are they sending a complete new kit to you or just the rubber? I'm guessing the kit I got will be too long also.
