I had one 285 mounted on my Suburban for a test fit...fronts rubbed near the bumper rears were ok. Went with 265 BFG all terrain which are apparently the tallest 265 you can get. According to my tire guy all 265's are not the same height. Absolutely love the tires. Excellent in the snow. Passed...
I was running "questionable fuel" and still had the factory filter. It would allow to me switch over when it clogged and change the element when I pulled off the highway.
I suggest you borrow one from a plumber/gasfitter if you can. I used my "rigid" flaring tool for my filter upgrade on my 95. I also used it to flare connect to the stock cooler aluminun lines. They are eccentric and expensive.

Anyone tried those diamond cut replacement headlights? I believe they take a different bulb than stock. I was thinking on getting a set as my stocks are getting cloudy, and I am getting older and it's hard to see at night. Or should I get some new bulbs and polish my stocks?

I have done a few on different vehicles. Usually easier when engine has just been run and pipe is hot. Or put some heat on it. Or when pipe is cold put some WD40 on a rag and wrap the rag around and leave overnight.
