I never noticed mine do anything like that. If I set it at 65 the needle stays on 65 if I am going up hill, down hill or on the flat. Maybe your vehicle is too light.:hihi:

I like my Autometer Cobalt digital gauges. I put them in the overhead console without the angled mount. Analog gauges would read wrong at than angle.

If the hub came apart you need to replace it.

The easiest way to do it would be run wires from the front lights to the rear signals. Then put a diode in series with each brake light wire and tie both sides together. Only problem doing it this way is the hazards will probably flash red too.

The idler bearing. Or did you already replace the idlers? My guess is that the little rock in the pulley might have damaged the new belt.
