So should I plan to be at your place on the 9th to start the tear down? It won't take terribly long, we could have the front clip off and the engine out in a matter of 4 or 5 hours. (Rough estimate based on our last project. :hihi:)
I start a new job on Monday, so I won't be as flexible as I...
I hit 1250 with my ATT* and tune last night climbing a hill.. Tune is for a 5521 pump and runs like a champ on my 5068 pump.
*by "my", I mean Paveltolz's. Mines on order.
Yes to costly and time consuming. Not sure the wife will go for that many, but I would like to run it as many times as I can. Might not happen immediately, either. Will just have to see.
Yes, that's the plan.
I've talked to Slim and he's prepping a new turbo to send to me.
I'm also going see about getting some dyno time in.
There's one big caveat to my set up. As it is, I am running a 5521 tune on a 5068 pump. Neither Slim nor I thought it was possible, but my truck...
So I installed paveltolz's ATT and got a tune to test. Took me a while to figure out my POS burner, but once i did it's been pretty smooth.
So far pretty happy. I'm going to be picking up a 4-horse trailer in the next day or two so we'll see how she does towing.
Biggest problem is that people tend to just rip the panels off without trying to remove them correctly. I also need the underlying framework. So far I haven't been able to find any in usable shape.
Yeah, I've pretty much given up on the idea of replacing the interior, I should remove that from my sig.
I would still like to see if I can find some captain's chairs from a suburban, though. Same year is is fine at this point.
The biggest thing for me is that there are a few components that...
I'm sure I could. I've been running into a bit of Lead-foot-itis, admittedly, so this tank is shot. I'll run another tank through and just see what the numbers looks like based on that.
No de-fuel. Doesn't de-fuel only happen with sustained ( >10 sec) overboost? Even still, I've hit 20 lbs before without de-fuel.
I'm not convinced that a PO didn't jack with something. The electrical in this rig is fubar. I've cleaned a fair amount of it up, but still a mess.
Sent from my...
The "S" intake came off today. I cut mine down, cut out that circular ... thing ... in the center, trimmed the inlet side of the AFE down and trimmed the silicone coupler down.
Still getting a bit of a "growl" at 1500 RPM. Slim Shady thought it was an intake leak. It's less pronounced than...
So far I think I like it. I spoke with Dennis tonight for about an hour about the turbo and some of the things he's done in his tune.
I have a couple of kinks to work out with my install. I'm running an S intake on my F motor, which isn't sealing all the way because we didn't have the right...
Just to kill some time, I went over to Paveltolz's place and we threw his ATT on my truck to see what it would do with a stock tune and a manual transmission.
It was only a two hour job. Not too bad, all things considered.
