    Meet my truck

I know what you are saying there. loosening the rod up *should* increase its travel. Basically as you tighten it down its pulling the rod in further to create more "base" spring tension and by that i mean how much tension its at will take a certain amount of boost to make it start to move. SO If...

    Meet my truck

If your aim is to decrease boost per say. you would want to make that thing open up sooner by having a lighter spring or I'm sure its a threaded rod which you'd spin or what ever to let off the tension on the spring in the canister. Like one turbo I had the stock actuator on it would only do...

Another BD Quick Spool Valve Install with A/C

I get 20 MPG for sure or upwards of 23 MPG highway with 4:10's and the hx40 straight piped exhaust, etc, I do put it on the "economy" setting on my chip so truck is slow like and as little fueling. But Your on the 93's with the mechanical pumps so that could be a reason on the difference...

    Meet my truck

That looks like the same basic thing i've used on many turbo applications to control boost. It bleeds off the air that "would" go to the actuator to keep it closed longer,. Since alot of turbo actuators work on boost pressure against a spring to open/close a wastegate... You can reduce the...

How much will it cost me to change the head or head gasket?

I got new heads from that clearwater florida, so far no issues running 20+ pounds and 10k kms later, Was about 900$ for both and they paid shipping here and back, (back to send them my old POS cracked heads)

    Meet my truck

Couldn't tell yeah, I know on diesel place its still the ATT vs hx40 really ha ha I mean you got some guys trying to figure out how to put bigger turbos on. But a lot choose that ATT just for the fact its a guaranteed bolt on with no messing about, all parts are there that are needed to do it...

What To Do With Our 6.5 Suburban Head Gasket/Blowby...

I usually use Brake clean, I use it on everything, works great to break down the grease and oil and move it out of the way of what ever your cleaning off, then it dries up so its clean afterwards

Can you turn the TC off?

I agree get rid of the GM turbo and you will make more power and save fuel....

    Meet my truck

The groove kinda thing around the compressor I believe is for anti surge, so instead of turbo fart it lets air have a way around it with out damaging it, so I'd say in higher boost when you let off the fuel hard rpm drops fast, turbos still trying to make alot of air and boost but the motors not...

    Meet my truck

There was a older version with the 6 blades? but now its a 8 blade I believe, and CKO stands for chinese knock off, thats what mine is and what everybodys been using, I'll link you to the one I got, you could look for a genuine holset one but thats going to be like 1300 bux, That said, Everybody...

    Meet my truck

well the HX 40 is pretty straight forward, i have about 15k km's on it now, no play in the shaft, you do need to get a 90 degree elbow for it, but that only costs about 150 from the guy that makes them, i think it cost me before exhaust for the turbo swap with everything needed about 500 bux...

    Meet my truck

nice stuff, but did you really mean 3300 psi pop? dont you mean 2300 psi? I run 20+ # of boost and was told to be at 2300 psi pop, much higher Can become too much pop?, I started my truck when i was 18, im 20 now, and being young and all..., I'd probably say put the HX40W-II turbo on, you're a...

What To Do With Our 6.5 Suburban Head Gasket/Blowby...

I had a similar problem, my truck started like crap, burned antifreeze, and such, ONE way to confirm if its your heads, is, is there air in your upper rad hose?, Does it boil into your coolant tank at idle with truck cold? mine did, which meant either a blown head gasket or bad heads... Turned...
