got into the truck deeper and found a cracked hard line at the IP. fixed that. still not start. got one of my buddies Snap-on scan tool plugged in and found that the truck has PassLock in it. WTF.:mad5: no chip in or on the key anywhere. have started...
So.. the truck has been sitting for a couple of months... the fuel tank was taken down for cleaning and frame work. Tank replaced and new rubber lines installed with new LP. New filters all around. All fuses inside and under hood look good. Batteries are just over a year old; had the...
I'll ask the dumb ???
Overheating as in the gauge is climbing/pegging or actually bowing coolant out the reservoir...???
From all you have listed you should be running ok. other than a blockage in the block, heads or heater box....??? and even if something was in the heater box it...
I woulda hung around long enough to record the Ford on the machine and when it passed asked the guy why he passed it; when it is obviously louder than your truck and for his boss to come look at the video.................
Fill with regular 40w oil. Add a high zinc additive in also. Prime oil system prior to any cranking with the starter. Once you get oil coming out the top of all the push rods.. the oil system is good to go. Take note of what the oil pressure is while priming the system..... use this as a...

look into the Pacbrake system also. with a seperate on/off switch to activate the "brain" of the system of choice, there really is no down side to a exhaust brake. once you get used to how the tuck reacts to braking under load with the exhaust brake you will definitely like the truck alot...

I have found a good low mile LB7 minus the turbo and was thinking of swapping out the LB7 heads/injectors and lines, a few electronic sensors with LBZ heads and electronics and a LBZ turbo. I'm thinking this should be a very simple swap over and would be able to get a truck back up and going...
