How to check/replace timing chain - time to get truck running again

I'm back :-) I've been swamped at work for the last 18 months - many weeks working 80-90 hours and some days putting in as many as 20 hours. And all on salary :( Anyway, this work project is coming to an end so I'm getting some free time plus my oldest turned 16 so I need another vehicle. I...

engine dies - throws codes - what do they mean?

Well, back at this after a 6 month break. :D I haven't touched the truck since November. Charged up one of the batteries. Got it fired up on the 4th try. Idled nice. Ran about 5 minutes, then died, but no codes. Started back up, ran a minute then died, no codes. Started back up and kept...

I did take the Optical Filter Harness out of the loop last year with no difference.

How to check/replace timing chain - time to get truck running again

I did replace the CPS with a new one. That was prior to the last Scantech readings.

How to check/replace timing chain - time to get truck running again

Been awhile since I've been on here. Had trouble with my truck in April of 2009, and haven't been able to drive it since. See this earlier thread if you want background: http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?t=10347 Anyway, now that it is warmer and I have more time on my...

Replaced blower motor resistor & control panel - still no fan on 95 c2500

Yes, sorry for not updating the thread. It started working properly the next time I used the truck. Not sure why it didn't work at first.

engine dies - throws codes - what do they mean?

Looking back at my Scantech snapshots, the timing before was around 30 and now is 90. I didn't touch the IP at all other than to replace the fuel line. Would the timing chain jumping a tooth or two cause the IP timing to change so drastically?

engine dies - throws codes - what do they mean?

Yes, I tried the one you had sent to me, and it still coded - but that was before replacing all the fuel lines. I believe the previous owner had the EPROM reprogrammed. Is it bad to have a '94 chip in a '95?

engine dies - throws codes - what do they mean?

This is an older thread, but I hadn't had time/money to work on the truck for several months. I did get some time recently and got the truck fired up for the first time since late spring. When it warms up, I get codes 18 & 54 and it dies. I have replaced fuel lines from tank to LP (both...

Fuel line from LP to fuel manager

I need to replace the line that runs from lift pump to fuel manager. Was just going to run rubber line, but with the tight space, I'd feel better replacing with factory type lines. Anyone know part numbers and where to get them? I'm going to replace both the feed and return lines - return is...

    need computer help bad

Did your emergency recovery option copy your original windows install to c:\windows.old\ ? Some recovery programs will do that so you can copy files out of your personal files after recovery. If so, you can go through Windows.old and delete things you don't need.

    need computer help bad

Unfortunately, I don't think there's anyway to scan them without hooking the drive to the computer. Before you connect it though, I'd do a scan on your PC to make sure everything is clean, then disconnect your network cable (or disable your wi-fi card if you are wireless) to isolate your PC...
