    Changing EFI Fuel Injectors

OTC has a socket too for the 6.5 injectors.I think it’s part number 5060.

    Changing EFI Fuel Injectors

You can do it with the turbo still in place.Once the heat shield is removed upon the passenger side valve cover it’s not too bad of a job then.

    Changing EFI Fuel Injectors

I’ve done business with accurate several times without issue.Tim stands behind his products and will be there if you have a problem. He also answers any emails you send his way.I’ve bought two sets of stanadyne Italy 6.5 injectors from him in the past with no problems and had him rebuild two sets...

    Seems like a huge misrepresentation

$12,500….even for a package deal for two engines it’s still a boat load of cash.Nothing really fancy about it EDIT:I see the price is now $8500.So I guess that’s what he wants for one engine I’m assuming.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Nice find on the new DB2.I once found two new pencil DB2 pumps for our 5.7 diesel some 15 yrs ago.It was definitely wonderful to come across those.Definitely like finding a needle in a hay stack.

bad 6.5 crank and 6.2 donor?

If that 6.2 has a 599 block then that crankshaft will be the same as what your 6.5 has because of the 1 piece seal design.A scat crank will work also if you go that route.

Hey everyone.A couple days ago I finished up the fuel system upgrade on my 96 gmc.I know WILL suggested I put the regulator as close to the fuel pump as possible although I liked the idea of monitoring the mechanical fuel pressure gauge under the hood and make adjustments to the regulator as...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

The driver side glass is now ready to go back into place on my 96 gmc truck. The dorman replacement track is all bonded in place.I was going to attempt to get the old piece off but didn’t want to risk breaking the glass so I had the glass shop do it.A new glass was over $400 when I asked about it...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I had a look today to determine where to put the fuel pressure regulator and I think at this point I’m going to mount it on the firewall just above the transmission dipstick area. At least it’ll be in a decent place and out of harms way.I’ll have to make a basic custom bracket from some steel...
