Mike L has a pump rub fix for 50.00. That would save alot of coin. The rough shifting into 4x4 could be that you just left off and all of the gears have not come to even speed yet. try keeping it at a consistant speed and putting it in.
Thank You for all you and your comrads are doing for us over there. I am proud of our military. I have a friend in Iraq and one in Afganistan. Be safe and God Bless!!!
The full flow filter is different from the bypass filter. The bypass filter is a 1 or 2 micron. I'm not sure with Amsoil. The full flow is usually a a 30 to 40 micron (I think) filter. engine wear ocorrs with particles from like 5 to 20 microns. Definately a great investment.
Do it all with synthetics. I personally do not use Amsoil but I respect it. I have some friends that swear by it. It will definatly be better than conventional oil. While yer at it put a bypass filter on it and get the full benifit out of the high grade oil. I run one and love it!!
Run the truck with the power up to let the ally get used to it. I have noticed that my tranny holds best in 4th gear. that is where I usually lay into it. GOOD LUCK!!
I was thinking about getting into dirt drag racing like they do down at the Buck.
I would like to know what you would recomend for tires and what size would hook good in the dirt. Also a good air pressure.
If you get a bad batch of fuel the power can go away real fast. The fuel filter can get clogged so bad you can barely blow through it. I had one I couldn't blow through at all. My power was way down. I can tell it is time to change the filter just by how my truck reacts when I get on her.
I installed the Fuel filter mount from napa and the 2 micron filter this weekend. I was wandering if anyone else did it and how long they are running the filters. Also what would be a good, quiet, inexpensive lift pump to add to this?
