wipers

I have heard that adding a dab of sodder to any weak connections will do. It would take some time but if your like me and have more time than money.....

Sometimes running a groundwire from the module (use one of the torx screws) back to the battery will work.

ok time for update i replaced the module napa 20 bucks no work replaced the whole assembly 54.95 no work so i am wondering how hard is the switch to replace?? I have one coming tomorrow

did you check the connector at the bottom of the column. It's about 2 inches long and 1/2 in wide. also check the other module that's on there. It control the wipers too. It's about the size of a couple decks of cards and has a heat sink on it.

when they suggest to use a steering wheel remover, make sure you get one with the lock plate remover too. Trust me you'll be glad you did

I just replaced my circuit board with one from the dealer, 67 bucks and some change. They said if you by a new motor, the circuit board that the new motor comes with won't have delay built into it and you would have to get the circuit board anyways.

It is a recall item. Check w/ the dealer. They replaced mine for free.

Not all of them, they have an expiration date on em and are model specific, mine wasn't covered supposedly my truck was not prone to the fail, GM "fixed it for my year/model" so no coverage, only a $35 part so didn't sting too bad, mine wasn't the board/solder joint that failed, it was the relay on the board that went bad.

You are correct. On my 97 burb it got replaced under warranty. I haven't had any issues w/ my 99.
