Im thinking about doing my transmission in a few months and was just curious as to where everyone is getting their parts from.

There is a shop here in GA that does a lot of diesel trannys but he is expensive!

any info is appreciated!

What are you wanting to do to your tranny?

Mat at champion

Mike L at inglewood

Eric at Merchant Automotive.

All great places for tranny stuff for the ally.

What are you looking to do to it.

im running the PPE on the 160hp setting now. bumped to the 225 once and then turned it right back down. i was too scared!

I was plannin on throwin a suncoast kit in there. prob a stageIII or IV

id say if you are spending the money do it right and get the IV, ive been running mine on the 160 and 225 tune, but ive been on the 90 tune lately

Thats what i was leaning toward. Might as well build it right the first time so i dont have to get it re-done.

The only thing that bothers me about it is the fact that i only have 14k miles on the truck, and tearin into an allison thats covered under warranty for a while just dont feel right

i had mat do it for me it took him about an hour he lives about 45min from me so its not a far drive, but i watched him do it and i know of alot of people that have done it themselves. but im sure with the help from these guys you should have no problem

indeed! i dont have the tools or space to do it myself so i have to get it installed somewhere. He is well known around here and is very, very good. i would love to take my truck to him but thats very expensive. A buddy of mine got his dodge tranny done by him my buddy said he was a great guy.

when ypu have the trans out, have them fix the "pump rub" problem that the transfer cases have. might as well take care of it while the trans is out.
