The tansfercase pump actually rubs the casting and can rub thru. there are updated pump mods the use a thinner pump to keep it away from the housing. if you look at the t case on the back, look for little pecker tracks of oil. like i said, its not every truck, but everyone my trans guy has pulled apart has had some inside wear.
