Where did they hide the brake controller wires?

I need to install my brake controller and 7 pin plug. I think I am okay on the back of the burb since I found that end of the wires. My manual shows where to find the tail end of the wires behind the back bumper but says nothing about where to find the front end of them. I hope that they are hiding under the dash somewhere but I haven't found them yet. I don't feel like this should be that difficult.:nonod:
Please help.

Well that makes a lot of sense GM.:rolleyes5: Never seen a brake controller mounted under the hood.:???:

Thanks for the tip Bison. I will look for them and figure out where the next hole in the firewall will be. :nonod:

Mine were taped up to the harness at the firewall just under the hydro boost. The only wires GM ran were 2 wires fro mthe front to the back IF it had the towing package add on option. You still have to run those wires to your controller and tap into your brake switch to hook it up.

Figures. It def has the towing package since I found the wires in the rear. Where do you recommend tapping into the brake switch and power?

Where do you typically run wires thru the firewall? I drilled a hole in an open space beside the steering column but I didnt't like it. I still have more to run for more gauges. Recommendations?

probe around, there is a terminal on the under dash electrical center that works great for a brake signal. I get 12V to power the controller, and a hot lead all off the underhood electrical center. there are two terminals on the back of it, IIRC you have to install a maxi fuse to get it to work.

good luck!

Cool. Thanks!
I found the wires and found the terminal on the back of the underhood electrical center.
I will look for the terminal under dash that you mentioned.
Thanks Again Guys!

the joy of using the aftermentioned connectors, is NO HACKING leaving the wiring alone and sealed is high on my priority list.
