What's the best/easiest/cheapest way to delete EGR on a 5.3

Having issues with it? It's not really a hindrance on the gas engines, and a new valve is like $100...

I'd assume the PCM would account for it letting X amount of air in, and therefore need a different MAF tune...
 
you have to have the EGR codes deleted, then go to a dyno for a retune.
All you would need to do is shut the codes off, and disable the EGR tables in the tune so it would go with the tables without EGR. Not that hard to do really.
 
Why delete it? Gassers rely heavily on the EGR for maximum fuel economy as the computer uses it a lot to keep the timing advanced as much as possible. I remember reading a tech paper on the LT1 and due to the EGR, MPG was substantially increased over not having one.
