Been through a bunch since I was a baby...Only hurricane that I evac'd for that hit us sort of directly was Katrina

Tornado jumped right over the house. Everyone else was huddled down in the basement. I was up in the upstairs window watching the show. If I'm gonna die, I'm not going to live my last moments hidden in fear.

Worst hurricane was when I was small. Been in a couple since. Juan comes to mind.

I've also flown into a couple tropical depressions the evac people off sailboats (what the hell are these people thinking?) and of commercial fihhing boats and cargo ships....

I was just inland when Charley came in in 04. There was alot of tornado's, but it was an actual cat4 when it made landfall and went by teh airport less than 5 miles. When the eye went over was a wierd feeling as my mother inlaw and sister in law thought everything was over, I told em nope it's just getting started. We had already watched the roof come off her grandmothers house next door and all of the hurricane shutters get sucked off the back porch before I got em in the hallway. I've been close to a bunch of hurricanes and water spouts, but never officially rode one out(The hurricane was filled with tornados as we could hear the train rumbles all around us).

I lived through a direct hit from hurricane MARGIE, that bitch just about killed me. She stabbed me in the back [LITERALLY] and put me through hell. I left her in 1989.

Then I lived through tornado TERRY, who threw everything but the kitchen sink at me. WHEW what a whirlwind she was and took all my belongings with her and had to start over back in 1996.

Oh you meant weather, never mind, I'd take weather over those two storms I dated anyday. I finally found a real woman and have been married ten years now, The only problems are sporadic thunderstorms and the occaisional tropical DEPRESSION. LOL:rof::rof::thumbsup:
