A friend of mine called me and said his son is getting rid of a 98 TD, and asked if I wanted any of it. Here is the deal: It is a 98 C3500 RCLB SRW. His son got it from work. It was one of their trucks, they used it for body parts for one of their other trucks. I believe that it was a good running truck, I don't know the mileage, or the condition of the rest of it. He only wants the tranny and is giving someone the rear of the frame, and will be scrapping the rest. I'm going to see about getting the injection pump, or possibly the whole motor, and maybe the gauge surround. I'll try for the ECM too. Can anyone think of anything else that I should grab? Also, not that I am promising anything, but does anyone need anything?

If you don't want the motor I'll buy it off you or him. I dont think I'm that far from you.I have the equipment to remove it.

If you don't sell the motor to Kenny, strip out the dual t-stat housing and water pump; the round airbox (guys with pre-97 trucks like both of those). Fuel filter and housing (spare parts for the Feed-the-beast crew), rad (if it's still good... lots of demand for those), starter (you ever priced a new one??), Turbo, ECM, alternator, PS pump, AC compressor...

Peel 'em off, make a list and post it. For a bottle of Rum per part plus shipping cost, you can stay drunk for a long time while making other people happy!!

GM GUY, what year air box do you need? I have 2. One from a 95 and one from a 94. They're both the same and they used the rectangular AF.

Yup, you guys all had the same idea as I. Get it all! I have to make a list to make sure that I don't forget anything. The starter was a good one. The guy that has it doesn't have a diesel, he just wants the tranny, so the rest would do him no good. So, I'm going to grab as much as I can fit in my bed. It's times like these I wish I didn't have that extra fuel tank in the bed. Well, maybe not. I still haven't called him yet. I'll call this afternoon and see what the deal is.

I need the 97 up round airbox. these flat plates are tricky to get together right, and they don't flow as much.

pull whats left of it home and piece it off to the rest of us!

also, what color is the cab?

I believe it is white, but I am not sure what is left of the cab itself. I'm pretty sure they took the fenders, but not sure about the doors, hood, etc. I'm also not sure what is there for the interior, or if any of it is any good.
