I do not know where to get hardened washers. I looked online for taller castle nuts and could not find.
McMaster has all sorts and sizes of washers, as for the nut, I've not looked for them... With a thick hard washer the nut you have work's...

ACE hardware over here has the thick hard washers.
They are about twice as thick as the grade 8 washers.

Got the Grade 8 washers and I got the driver’s side done. Had to do more reaming in the knuckle to get the right depth. Probably had the knuckle on and off 5x, but it’s done. Just need to finish some miscellaneous stuff like cotter pins and install the Allen acre that holds the ABS sensor in.

Well got everything done on the ‘99 front end and had my son over to help with bleeding the brakes. Unfortunately, I pinched the passenger side braided stainless brake hose and it’s leaking there where it was pinched. So a new set of braided stainless brake lines has been ordered from www.inlinetube.com

I have my wife coming down from MT this weekend. Will be in SoCal for a little over a week as she has a surgery to address an issue from cataract surgery last January. Then we’ll head back up to MT. Confirm the above is what you want and I’ll order it tomorrow for delivery to MT. Then I will on-ship to you when I get up there. Deliveries to our home there are safe. We have a note on the door instructing the delivery guys to place items inside the mud-room. There is no porch theft there. No on can see our porch from the road.
