Turbo tech

Turbine maps have traditionally been tough to come by. Here's a link to a site that shows turbine maps for Garrett's GT line.

For those wanting to better understand the turbine side of turbos, how varying the turbine housing A/R impacts things, there's a lot of good info there.
 
The link below is to one of the more useful simulators I've found for playing with many of the variables involved in turbo performance engines.

Lots of assumptions in the math behind it, so play with that in mind. Still, if you start with reasonable parameters & then play with just one, it's not too bad at quickly giving estimates of mass airflow & hp/torque. He's even put in a fair number of common turbo compressor options & it plots your data point from the calculations above - on the comp map.
