I have a 2005 Chevy 2500 HD. Trans went out so I found one out of a 01, will it work? Told the trans in my truck is a 4l80 since its 8 lug. Is that true as well? Tyv.
 
What engine do you have? You posted in the LLY section, but I want to make sure before I say anything.
