Guys, I wanted to see what is the better line wrench / socket for getting at the line nuts at the back of the IP. planning on pulling the valve covers soon on the 93 to check rocker buttons since I am getting a random ticking / knocking on acceleration that comes and goes. I have a trip to the coast coming up at the end of the month and want to see if I can remedy that noise before hand.

last time I did this job on the 95, I played hell with a open end wrench!

iirc they are 19mm line nuts at the IP. here is what I found on the jungle site. should the black 6 point work or should I go with the 12 point with the offset?

The fittings on the DB2 IP lines are 5/8" or 16mm, at the IP.

I just used a crowfoot. Only a few the need a special tool

Bought a 19mm box end and cut out a portion and made my own line wrench 'for just such an emergency.'

I have a chinesium set of double open end wrenches with an off set open on one end.
Thats a mighty handy set for them IP nutz.

I'm glad I decided to tear into the truck and not order anything. I didn't know the line nut on the ip was 16mm. I need to invest into a set. seems it would be a lot easier to use one to get at the lines at the injectors on the turbo side too.

I tore into the 93 tonight and was able to get to all the line nuts with an open end wrench. much easier than I remember, must be more room with a DB2 than the DS4!

Yuppers. You have both now, just keep comparing them more and you’ll find more and more discontent for the ds4/pmd/app/ecm/sensors/grounds etc.
