I did an intro post but quick recap here. I’m from the Hummer forum and @Will L. suggested I come here. I recently stumbled across a TON of 6.5 engine parts that I’m looking to re-home.
Right now I am trying to figure out exactly what I’ve got and then I’ll explore options for selling / trading or giving away. If you’re interested in something please feel free to ID the part in this thread for everyone’s edification and then DM me for dibs.
I’ve only got one of what will likely turn out to be 3+ trailer loads of parts. Below I will post photos of what I managed to sort through today. I’ll add to this thread when I have time so go get and sort through more.
The back story on these parts is that they came from the former owner of an aftermarket Hummer parts company. He worked for Rod Hall racing then AM General after RH switched away from racing the hummers. These engines are all AMG test engines that never saw use outside of the dyno room. The former owner snagged them after testing was completed.
As best I can tell there were 4 total engines all for the HMMWV. I haven’t been able to surmise a date range for these engines but I’m hoping the collective wisdom here can help with that. There was obviously some skunkworks type testing happening as you’ll see from the later photos.
