Title says it all ;)

I have my latptop and softwares to do that on a DS4 electronic pump, but never have to deal with a DB2/DB4 mechanical one.

I will probably have to do one in the times coming, and was wondering how to proceed?

Thank you for your help

On the top center of the ip there is a line that looks like you hit it with a chisel. There is another line on the top center of the timing cover. With the engine OFF loosen three 12 points nuts and turn ip until they line up. That is factory setting. If you want to retard or advance DO NOT move ip while engine is running. Move it and restart engine to time by ear to you liking. It will not take much...

Smoke black with the cold advance on heavy throttle and smoke clears up heavy throttle is about perfect. You can tell by the rattle from no throttle to some throttle - the rattle should quiet down under throttle as the precups heat up. IMO DB2 sounds different then the electronic IP engines with more rattle.

With proper tools:

i have the sme problem

my IP is about 1centimeter away (to driver side) from the block timing mark, i tried to loose 3 bolts but when i tried to move the IP, it is kind a stuck with something..

are something that i´m doing wrong?

 1 centimeter is a lot! I don't think you can go further, that's why you feel the pump is "stuck".

Are you sure your timing set is properly installed? or you might have a 1/2 sheared key on the cam gear or sprocket.
Even with a worn chain, I don't think you can have that.

no no, i do not want to go further, i want to return to match the IP mark with the block mark, but its kind hard to move back to that mark!...

You said in your hello page you are having some problems. I suggest not changing anything until proper diagnostics are done. You can be adding to the problems by just trying different things.

Start a thread detailing your problems and condition. Hopefully we can save you lots of time, money, and headaches.

guys finally i move it

right know matches the IP mark with block mark

i have to replacemy starter and rear mail seal and then try to run it

i will keep updated
