"The Tick"

Mine makes a ticking/knocking noise under light load as well, more noticeable lately than before. Doesn't matter if it's the stock tune or an EFI smoke tune. How do you do an "injector kill test"? I'm guessing from the frequency of the knock vs. rpms it could just be a noisy injector???
 
It's like a typewriter sound, soon after oil change, and at operating temp. GM says its normal, something to do with tolerances. Normally goes away when oil indicator shows about 80%..
