TH06E turbo on my 6.5

Well now I need a new boot guage. I just popped the signal hose of and capped it just to see what it would make. I can easily hit 15psi (where my guage stops) at half throttle. As far as the pmd... that is one of three good pmds on the truck one behind the grill the one you see and one still on the pump so it is just my laziness that has stopped me from making the one in the grill my permanent one. I will take another look at the coolant hose in a minute.

That hose runs from the water pump to the right hand side of the coolant crossover pipe behind the tstat. I broke it in today with a nice 150 mile drive to camp Pendleton. Ran very well sounded amazing and didn't lift a head yet but I am being very hesitant with it

Sounds fun, :rolleyes5:

Sorry for the slow responce I have been working non stop onto help 4th tanks get up to speed on some things. Should have some time off this weekend to take pics of my coolant setup and more of the finished product. So far I am a very happy camper turbo makes great power I have yet to hold it to the floor for more than a split second because the boost needle smacks the stop instantly. But over a great turbo once I sorted out the wastegate

Do you have head studs and new gaskets? Sorry if you've posted that before.

I have a couple sets of head studs in stock and will be placing an order for head gaskets as soon as tomorrow.

very true. hopefully i wont grenade the heads just yet. so far i am having fun with it. it sounds a lot meaner than it is. the next thing on my list is an adjustable chip for this obd1. does anybody know how i can get a hold of the one who makes them or possibly make one myself.

as does walking j. i would love to have a kojo but i am not sure where the Marine corps will send me next and if i go somewhere that is very strict with emissions i don't want to have to fight to get my truck back to legal just to be able to get my truck on base. also i dont really want to have the extra stress of constantly running a race tune on my daily drive. The advantage of the adjustable is just to high to pass up. i have nothing but respect for what the kojo tunes (and heath) have done with these motors but am simply looking for something that i wont have to take back off 2 years down the road when i am in a different state. now if i cant find the guy i will be going with kojo.

i promised burning oil i would get him some pics of the coolant line on my truck. i have never seen one either and i have owned 4 of these trucks and worked on countless others. to me it looks like an aftermarket job just by the welds but it sure works well. everyday driving this truck never gets over 170 degrees and only once when i was towing about 11000 lbs did it get up to 220 but i think that is because it was also fighting a clogged tank sock. thanks for all the help and support so far gent. i really do appreciate all the help.

The fitting is definately added in. I wonder what a globe valve in that line would do with controlling temperature.
