I did things piecemeal, ass backwards. I still have the stock GM turbo.
Improved the intake first, sounded better, slight increase in mpg and power.
De-mufflered and "emptied " the cat, TM replaced vac system. Sounds better, not annoying, slightly better mpg/power.
Flowmaster crossover got me 1/2 mpg better, no noticeable noise increase.
finally, Flowmaster Downpipe 1.5 - 2 mpg better, noticeable power, no more noise.
Note; when I had the the downpipe OFF, I fired up the 6.5 just to hear it, reved it to 2500rpm; almost the same sound as with the complete exhaust, but with no load.
I basically have a 3" exhaust from DP out, with a resonator as the empty cat. last 2 tanks averaged 20.5 mpg, 1/2 loaded running up and down hills and in traffic, stoplights and freeway, we only have about 3 miles flatland out of 100 miles running on our normal routes.
