I have a 1995 gmc 3500 cab chassis crew cab 4x4 with a nv4500. It has hydroboost brakes. Can I use Dexron III in the powersteering/hydroboost system? The fluid already looks red/pink.

Steering/Hydroboost Fluid

That's what i use is a DEX/MERC type fluid. I would NOT use a DEX VI type fluid though as it is a pretty dry fluid and is known to dry out seals. Most all of teh power steering fluid I have used and checked has been DEX3 type fluid without the dye and seal additives in it.
