I just got off the phone with Tim..Turbine Doc...

They are making progress on the the 94 and are close to having the heads off...

They sent some pics via Blackberry but to the wrong email address...

Thanks for the updates Mrs. deere3594 !

I saw this as Tim answered his cell phone. They have the valve covers off and they are going to look at the bottom end of the engine since there is a ton of sludge. I told him being on the West coast and a night owl, I am gonna be up till 2am or so my time, and to feel free to call me with updates.

seems the truck will need a little more work. hopefully bad oil pump on my 97 though as I am working on it... thank you everyone. i can never thank you guys enough

new oil pump is the 97, back up and running good! just under 60 pounds idling cold, much better then 0-10! :thumbsup:

That's great news, Justin!

So now you have everything running again?

well... yes and no...
the 94 had a set back... water in oil again. not as bad as before, put some of them gm coolent tabs in for the time being and it has stopped using water...

AWESOME NEWS, Maybe now you'll have some time to look into the 94 in more detail, the head gasket was a Hail Mary toss with the time we had available "to do something" 50/50 shot.

Common failure point is/was gasket, we saw some indications on the removed gasket that showed high likelyhood that was the cause, now that you have 1up and running;

remove heads again, this time take them to a machine shop to have them pressure tested and flatness checked, drop transaxle remove pan and do a bottom up assesment for cracks, from top down block looked good, also do straight edge check of the block to do a "flatness check" of the block deck where heads mount.

summit is about 30 mins north of us. good deal on oem stuff like brakes some times. open 9am 9pm 7 days a week :)
pace performance isnt far either, its like summit

John has ALL the good stuff near his house... and a big, new Cabellas too!

on edit: not to mention a Ruby River... mmmm...
