The simplest question for most of you is.
Well how many miles to a gallon do you currently get in your 6.2 or your 6.5 (whichever you currently own or drove in the past).
Doesn't matter what size, shape, or brand. Just in general how many mile per gallon do you currently get in your 6.5/6.2 liter TD?????? ???????? ????????

19mpg at the moment, air filter needs a cleaning though pretty bad. last time i cleaned the filter it improved to 21-22mpg consistant. normal speeds vary from 35-50mph.

1993 2500 4wd 226,000 miles 3:42s and I forget tires with a 4l80. Gets 19-21 with a pickup bed full of stuff that should have been thrown away a long time ago.....

17.20 mpg average driving mostly @ 2500rpm, have gotten up to 22 mpg driving 2000 rpm with 3:73 final & 265/75 tires truck weighing in about 6600#; before ATT 16-17 was was mpg at 2000 rpm.

I got around 17 last summer/fall, now get 14-15 on the highway, mostly 70 MPH at 2400 rpm. Suburban 4WD with 4.10. When I spend a week around town, lots of warm up time, it drops to 12.

My old 6.2L 4x4 1 ton crew cab long bed SRW 4.10 got 15 mpg.
I don't know what I'm getting in my "new" (1996) 6.5L K3500 CCLB SRW.
I just close my eyes, swipe my card, & hold the lever on the green nozzle 'til it clicks.

94 K3500 dually with 4.10s. Over 200k. I get about 14 or 15 tops

I have stock tire size (245/75/16). I got 15.8mpg with the factory 4.10 gears and the A/C off. Switched to 3.42 and now get 17.1mpg with the A/C off.

1995 GMC K-2500 Sierra 130K 4.10 gears 7.50-16 8ply Super Traction Biasply tires. . .

18mpg towing 9K 60mph OD off.

23mpg empty OD on.

I really need them 4.56 gears milage will drop i'm sure but towing power will increase then next is the ECM chip i am told average gain is 60hp n 130TQ.
which will put it about 250hp n 510TQ peak power with 4.56 gears truck should move good.

Best I got was 22mpg, but normally was 20mpg city.

..and for us guys south o' the border:
1 US gallon = 0.83267384 Imperial gallons
20 miles per imperial gallon = 16-1/2 miles per US gallon
..still pretty darn good. I'm guessing not a lot of cold starts on a tank for mileage like that? That's pretty close to what I'm getting now since I got my TDCO at 1.85 (manual adjustment, don't have a programmer available). The number of cold starts really takes its toll on my mileage. I can hit right around 18 running 65 on the freeway, about 2200 rpm. I'm finding that 70-75 on the freeway about matches around town driving for mileage.

..ATT setting at home in a box and I'm on the road working...:mad2:

las tsummer i was getting close to 19 very cosistantly with 245 75 16 tires i put 285 75 16 on this winter and i lost about 2 mpg i was getting 16-17 on winter fuel and now im getting 14.5-15 anxious to see if it cums back up this summer

I'm wondering the same thing, if my tires dropped my mileage more than I realized. I went from 235/85-16 (almost racing slicks at that point!) to 265/75-16. I was talking to the guy who mounted them a few days ago and he said the new tires felt 3 times as heavy as the old ones, so maybe the tires took 2-3 mpg off.
