Reading IAT - from sensor

16-pin is OBD2 - goes without saying - OBD1 is 12-pin - only Tech2, having both cables\connectors, is functional with both - were some late limited-production cross-overs, where hybrid OBD1\OBD2 got the 16-pin connector - so, if you have a 16-pin cable\connector with your pcware scantool, plug it in and see if it talks to the 16-pin 6.5
