Possible ok block,crank, ds4 for sale

Over on hummernetworkforums.com a guy with 6.5TD centermount engine is for sale.
He blew a head gasket, one head toast, other one cracking between valves could be brass sleeved and ran 100k or so. The block is a May 99 so supposedly latest version GM ever made.
You’d have to verify cylinder walls, main webs, etc not cracked to run the block.

110,000 on the thing and it has a ds4- so that might be worth $100 for a spare or someone in need of a cheap runner to last a little while.
He is in Munster Indiana.

I don’t know the guy personally but never heard anyone cursing him…

I've got at least 200,000 miles out of an IP

Back in the 1990s the dealerships used to warranty the IP when the PMD went bad. I had at least 3 replaced.

I P on My truck was at 270,000 + miles, I think.
Not knowing the history on the truck and the enjun, may not have been that many.

Ds4, well taken care of, 270,000 is about it. Db2 if well taken care of can be 325,000.
But many things shorten that life.
And that is them working but not working well. Efficiency drops after 150,000 for both.

What year did they quit warrantying the IPs?

Seems like it was after 2000.

So probably not worth installing a $100.00 seal/gasket kit into my DS4 pump with 270,000 miles on it ? ? ? ?

Could You contact Him and see if He would take $100.00 for His IP ?
With only 100,000 miles on that pump it would take My engine a long ways before that portion of the equipment needs attention.

There’s a thread right now about a guy in Northern Nv who is working out a deal for a TON of 6.5 parts. The guy who owned UROVA (big name in hummer stuff- makes the best centermount turbo available) is getting rolid of the rest if his 6.5 stuff to a member there.

That forum is less active than this one (maybe 1/5 as much) but still has good stuff. Chris of TSP has an awesome thread of two p400 builds he is doing for a couple members there.
Y’all should seriously join. This isn’t like two enemy sites- haha.

I signed up over there.
I figure when I’m allowed to, do an intro, I’ll offer that I do have tools and some ability if anyone is ever in the area and needs help.
Probably not much else to offer on a Hummer site.
Although I would also love to have one of those wehicles, even as frustrated and down as I get with this pickup truck.
