Just had the PMD fail in my 96 TD K2500.
Cruise control became intermittent about 2 months ago. Then I started it up in a parking lot and just as it fired the throttle blipped up to 2000 rpm and back to idle for about a half second. I thought perhaps I had my boot touching the accelerator and just tucked my suspicion away in the back of my mind.
3 weeks later I'm waiting to pull out in traffic and I honestly thought someone had rear-ended me. My foot was firmly on the brake but the whole truck tired to surge forward into open traffic. It was the PMD ripping up to 2000 rpm again for a second.
How has GM not been sued for this sort of thing? Toyota get taken to the cleaners over less on things that "might" happen but have not yet.

I put in a new PMD and it runs fine - cruise control is restored.

My Hummer H1 6.5 TD has just had its cruise control start to go intermittent.....
