So I was scraping through some old pictures and thought it would be fun to see the transformation from when I bought the truck to what it is today. I didn't have the AFE when i bought the truck in the motor pics but you get the idea. It was the oldest picture of the motor I had.

The red stuff is anti-freeze. It's my overflow tank. I had to relocate it. and I never much cared for the 4x4 stickers. I think it just wouldn't look good with them. And yes, it was a very large, and hard to clean soot stain haha. I ended up taking the tip out as far as I could and angling it down and welding it on. Haven't had a problem with it since I moved it. Even when I am heavy into the throttle. Thank god. I hated cleaning soot off. It adheres to paint so well. Same concept as rust welds. After all the cutting torch work sometimes, I swear rust welds are stronger than regular welds haha
 
Did you cut and reweld the intake to create the straight shot for the ATT? Looks like a much better solution than any of the bent silicone hose stuff I've tried.
 
the mudflaps are from a shop here called Wyoming Diesel Power. My brother works there. And the orignal intake had already been cut so i took a similiar sized peice of aluminum and just cut and welded a few times until it was a good fit to the compressor housing.
 
Looks good. I like the blacked out wheels and painted wheel wells and frame. It really contrasts and accents the white nicely. It contrasts so good I first missed you took off the body molding.

There is a truck around here that the owner repainted the wheel wells and frame that you can see and it makes the truck look so much cleaner and over all sharper.
 
The frame isn't painted. just nothing rusts here. That is all original haha I am less than 100 miles away from cresting 400,000 miles on the truck. By the lack of rust, it'd be hard to believe to some people I'm sure
 
And the whole goal is very good balance between the white and black. I think the completely white bed offsets it just slightly enough that a tennou (or however) cover would fit perfect. plus be super handy
 
Cudos. It's good to look back and compare. Helps keep things in perspective when you can see the progress leap out at you like this.
 
I just think it needs something to break up the white, IMHO. I peeled the stickers off my dmax but it has black bumpers, bed rails, running boards, and soon black fender flares (still cant decide if I want the new ones white).

Maybe I just dont like the blank space back there since all of my GMT400's have Z71 or 4x4 on them. Looks naked lol.
