Hi!
I suddenly realized I need some adaptors from NPSF 1/4"-18 to 3/8" hose barb to connect my new walbro frb 5 lift pumps when they arrive. I am getting totally lost in the world of pipe threads. Does anyone know who would sell the correct fittings to make this work?

I would suspect Leroy.
Locally about any hydraulic specialist shop, auto parts or hardware stores.

You want stainless steel.
Hardened steel is second best.

Fittings for fuel absolutely stay away from brass, bronze, copper.
Then try to avoid aluminum, mild steel, zinc galvanized steel when you can.

Ouch! Avoid aluminum? I just made my custom gauge fitting in aluminium, but at least I managed to sta away from the brass! :)

What I can´t figure out is exactly what threads I need on the adaptors (and then where to source them). I was looking for a long time for an adaptor with NPSF 1/4", but when I looked In the catalog, the custom parts you could order was NPTF 1/4" with a lot of thread sealant onto them.

I´m thinking I´m just gonna give it a go with the local shop if I can get them there on Monday!

The red metals break down in the modern bio added diesel fuels, regardless of alcohols added.
The zinc gets pulled out the same.

The mild steel has corrosion possibilities and can rust, contaminating the fuel and damaging ip head/rotor or injector tips.

The aluminum in alchol deterioration is very slow, but occurs. Seeing as how many injection pumps are made from it- lucky it occurs slowly in the presence of pressure. When in the presence of a vacuum it gets bad.

So don’t sweat the one fitting, just check it oncs in a while
To ensure it isn’t getting chewed up. On e the aluminum is an alloy mix, it survives better.

I´ve always appreciated that aluminium doesn´t snap and break. haha. I´ll just have to watch it over time, and that´s ok. The temp readings are super, so it was well worth it. I´m gonna move it in between the filter manager and the ip, once I get the ftb kit, so I can get the best readings of what is happening down there.

Thanks for all the support, by the way, really appreciate it! :)
