Hello all,

New to the forum. I’m coming over on recommendation of @Will L. from the Hummer side of the house.

I have a 1995 VLCO (1/2 door soft top Hummer). I’m new to the 6.5 world and want to expand my horizons and possibly help get parts into the hands of those who need them after a recent treasure trove find.

Hello Grayman, and welcome to thetruckstop.
Always nice when a new comer steps on in.
I do want a Humvee, mainly a military unit. Just too deep in debt on this truck to want to step off and put in a bid for one of those military units, and, Denver area is not so far away that I would be willing to take a trailer and My truck over to retrieve one.

Thanks for the welcome.

Driving a Hummer is a bit more like driving a tractor than a modern vehicle. The HMMWV even more so. With that being said I wouldn’t trade my Hummer for the world. Such a fun and quirky truck

Seems most every vehicle I own is of a quirky nature.
Triumph motorcycle, not just a Triumph but a 1974 Triumph T150 V Trident.
Getting a top end rebuild.

Then a 1978 MG B Roadster.
Stepson taking it for a drive.

I bought my Hummer because it was less than a used Jeep Wrangler back in 2015…. And my day job would suggest I’m definitely not part of the ultra rich ha ha
I think most of is is in that boat with You.
I was retired.
Decided to do some upgrades to my truck.
Discovered I didnt have enough money to buy parts for my toys so had to go back to work.
I am in the hopes that one of these days I will have the opportunity to stop slamming parts on my credit card and parts stores accounts and begin to get some stuff paid down, hopefully off. 🤷😹😹😹
