I just noticed smoke coming out of my Front passenger side wheel well. After checking it is the injector closest to the fire wall on the passenger side. It is Spraying through the connection. I checked the connection fitting and it is on tight. I was having a ticking noise from one of the injectors and that is the 1 that I was suspecting as the culprit. I am not noticing the ticking noise anymore So can an injector become frozen and stuck closed which would cause it to spray out like it is?

Nope. A loose or cracked line can though.

Engine off, Remove the nut holding line to injector and inspect carefully. A hairline crack can be hard to see, a cheat is take pics with phone at different angles. Then you can zoom in on pic.

Also inspect the rubber return lines for same issue.

WARNING!!!
It is tempting to feel around with engine running to find leak- DO NOT DO THIS!!! The fuel is high enough pressure to cut into hand and it is not like a knife cut. People have had to have amputations from it.

I’m asking because I don’t know. I’ve never had this problem before.

The injector body is in two pieces. Could the injector spray fuel out from where the two injector bodies thread together if it wasn’t tight enough?

I just pulled the fitting and it is different than the one on my 98. The 95 is a 3 piece with the line, a little slide washer, and the nut, while the 98 is a 2 piece with the line and the nut. I inspected it and there are no cracks or anything out of the ordinary. I put it back on and tightened it good but it still prays up through the center between the nut and line. Any thoughts? This is the injector that was making a ticking noise. Could a bad injector cause this? BTW there is no ticking which make me think it is the injector.

Threads bad letting it be tight and leak? Otherwise I agree with @Will L. Cracked line.

I guess the threads could be bad but it started out of the blue without being touched. I am thinking if it isn't the injector it has to be the line. Are the lines readily available?

What number is the fuel line that goes to the injector at the back firewall on the passenger side?

Yup, #8.
Engine cylinder layout. Idk if this looks right after posting. If not can a moderator erase it to not cause confusion? Odd is driver side, even is passenger. From front to rear.

It would seem you have a bad washer on that three-piece line. With all the vibration stress from repeated high pressure hammering through there, it's possible that it just gave up the ghost after a few too many cycles; even if the line dampeners are secured. Might as well buy a set of injection lines since it's likely you'll be pulling a few of them to get at the failing one. Do it right, do it once (would that I was this smart/lucky).

You are correct. I just saw the numbers on the lower intake. Duh!

From your post its making me think that I aught to replace all of them since I am going to have the intake off. That way I'm not replacing another one in a month.

Those injection lines are a better price point than what I paid for mine when I had my truck's motor built (OEM through a stealership). I tried looking them up on several GM sites but, couldn't find them now. RockAuto doesn't have them listed either so, unless you get them off a salvage yard vehicle or go to the GM Parts counter with a wheelbarrow full of cash, FleaBay might be it.
