and where would you buy pure methanol?

VP makes it, I have a 55 gallon drum, or check Home Depot, hobby stores etc.

Is there a dead give away for pure 100% non nasty methanol? hat is it labeled as? I doubt I could afford to buy a large quantity at a time but if I could buy like maybe 5 gallons and distill it down

Just did a google search, methyl hydrate is methanol, read the container for purity, also you can buy 5 gallon drums from VP or hit up car dealerships, sometimes they buy windshield washer concentrate where you add water, its better than the premixed.

Also do research on the major fuel suppliers in your area. If you have a tank farm in your area, that's where most of it is getting used. The "oxygenated" gasoline is a mixture of meth into the gasoline. Gets used by the thousands of gallons here...
