I don't disagree, but, if it was hooked to another running vehicle and still wouldn't turn over... doesnt that more or less rule out batteries?

No. Another vehicle with a single battery has a hard time jumping a diesel. We have 2 batteries because one isn't enough. Then add two weak batteries taking the current from the single vehicle make it harder to jump...

eh... exagerated a bit. More like 60 feet. I have an eye bolt in the floor with a 4000 pound come-along (sp?) but dont trust it with something as heavy as the sub!
Heck dont be scared,i got a Chinese 1/2 ton chain hoist on my A frame,it lifted a 3500 lb D7 cat engine clear of the ground,it held:smile5:

I use it to lift the front of my trucks up with it too no pain
