I can tell stories of guys in the fleet abusing the heck out of 4l80e and they just eat it up.
40mph OD to R shift= a tootsie roll driveshaft but the trans is happy.
300,000 miles with only adding atf & never doing maintenance on grocery getter pickups.
About the only thing they don’t withstand is slamming into park while driving. It shears the parking pawl. Most the time the trans still works but occasionally it shuts it down. It’s because of this that military hmmwvs can’t shift into park in either the th400 or 4l80e. Making. They have to set park brake and shift into neutral to turn off & on engine.
Then you can build it up for stupid power levels. More than any 6.5 can put out.
