How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

This is gonna sound really dumb, but how did you guys figure out how often to change your oil? Im close to the 3K mile threshold since my last oil change.

Ita a daily driver, has a turbo, nyc stop and go traffic, with Long Island highway traffic aswell, max speeds of 60MPH
