How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Your budget & application counts. Everything Doug said above is on point.
If you pay for oil testing you will learn how often you need to change it based on your use. Different environments, condition of the engine, and how you run it makes a big difference.

I have worked in oil& fuel industry side where a lot of testing was done, made friends with some petroleum engineers. One of whom when I was asking about some of the more wazoo oils- started telling me about tribodyne. He said it would be many years before the nearest competitors get close to them including the place he was working for (can’t say who but their name is always in the random top 5 lists).

The wazoo oils if tested To prove when they are done is still more expensive than many others but the idea isn’t pinched pennies- it’s getting a longer life and more efficiency from the engine while in use.

Wix (aka Napa gold) filter is still the best one made as a normal filter.

A Frantz bypass filter is my recommendation for most folks to take it to the next level.

My plan for my engine build that is about 10 years past due now is adding a drain & refill hose from the pan so I can hook up a 120v powered centrifuge for removing the soot while it’s parked. Unfortunately almost none of the centrifuges that are used in bypass mode clean any better than the frantz because it takes 100-110psi oil pressure to spin it up to speed for the 1/10 micron a centrifuge can clean to.

Do You have the FRANTZ part numbers so We can order those filters ?
Can they be ordered direct from FRANTZ ?
If there is a web page where we know we will be getting the real McCoy, could You list that too ?
We dont want some cheap @SS’D chinese knock out, ooops, knock off. 😹

Slightly off topic, but given that we're on the topic of oil....

1. Best oil brand? (Valvoline, Rotella, etc) and if Rotella, T4 vs T5 vs T6 vs T7

2. What do you all think about Diesel Oil Treatments? HotShots, ArchOil, etc

Changing my oil soon, so its been on ny head lately

Also, should I change the fuel filter along with every oil change aswell? Currently using the WiX spin on filter
I most often changed my fuel filter with the oil.

I ran only full synthetic engine oil.

I also ran a bypass filter and changed the oil between 10 & 20,000 miles.

The filters listed previously are good. I also liked Amsoil, Baldwin & Mobile1 filters.

I used the FS2500 and Amsoil bypass filters. I preferred the FS2500.

I T'd into the return line from the engine oil cooler to supply the bypass filter and returned to a nipple in the oil fill neck.

You want the nipple in the oil fill neck pointing slightly down so it doesn't splash out if you take the fill cap off with the engine running
