I found my way here from the place awhile ago, just forgot about it, then was reminded while reading a thread over on the other "place", I'm pretty sure I'll be dropping in more often seeing as I recognize a few users from the 6.5 family, still have a soft spot for the 6.5, but have since moved on to the 5.9 and have been bitten by the HP bug. I use my Dodge as intown courier truck and the occasional hotshot, since May 07 I've racked up 100,000kms and plan on driving this truck till the body falls off. (got 400500kms)

I spent 20yrs in the Canadian Military as a Vehicle Technician, and in that time I've become pretty good at making something outta nothing, On more than one overseas tour I had to knit parts out of salvage and make it work on equipment that it was not designed for. Re-supply in the military is a very slow process, so if you can't get the parts you make 'em. I think I loved the challange of making something work with "bailing wire and vicegrips". Especially when someone would say it can't be fixed "we dont have any parts" Somethings you just can't teach the new guys, its been 2yrs since I retired, and it saddens me when I hear on the news that we lost another brother, I may not be in the Military anymore, but my heart beats with pride for our soldiers. I carry the flame high, and I WILL NOT FORGET

hopefully I'll be able to contribute to this forum and learn from some of the knowledgeable scholars that are here

Welcome, Nick... nice to have you onboard, even if you DID switch from the valiant 6.5 to a Dodge... :D j/k.

Vigilamus.

Howdy Nick always room for another 6.5 aficionado, even ones that stray to "dark side".

Also be sure to pop in to the 5.9 area, while many of us are die-hard GM fans, we are all about trucks here, all brands; including the "lesser ones" :D:D:D

:grouphug:Thanks for the warm welcome, good to see lots of familiar folks over here!!
