New here and I'm an older diesel guy located in the nature coast of Florida aka: lesser known ozello keys great hunting, fishing best known worldwide as the most motorcycle friendly destination in America. I do lots of things however much slower than most because of injuries.
I'm politically incorrect and a dedicated constitutionalist which makes me a target of despots.
I have two Burbs one 95 w/454 and my favorite is my 1999 GMC K2500 8.6k+ GVWR Suburban, May 99 w/enhanced 6.5 td, CAC ducted (more efficient at speed), 14 b ff 4.10’s w/locker rear & 9.25” w/ARB front, gear drive timing, fluid damper, hi-pops, Heath tune, 4” exhaust, dual oil bypass filtration, s&b box, 1k psi water injection @ intake (for really hot days), built 4L80e, dual fin plate trans coolers (run trans on the cool side), PSC w/dual filters & coolers, mile marker 12k hydro winch w/vov delete, obd2 data logger/device controller (timing, tdc offset, abs EBC calibritation, etc.), dip switch vssb, 295/75/16e TOYO open country 2, Alcoa wheels, dual hitch military on bumper w/mil cable socket & stock hitch, dual alt’s, AGM batteries, heavy battery cables w/additional frame-engine & body grounds, 30 amp inside accessory circuit, inverter, no rugs replaced w/Duraback uv anti-skid ship deck coating, dual hvac w/h carbon Freon substitute, all bushings are polyurethane, s&s idler bracket other steering are moog p/s, all fluids Amsoil synthetic, Evans waterless coolant zero psi cap, Kodiak fan clutch, coolant bypass restrictor etc. fender vent cutouts a BIG increase in evacuating hot under hood air, I changed out the composite headlights and grill to the two LED headlight setup so when I fit my BIG Cummins CAC so there will be no need to cut or modify grill or lighting & just cut openings for CAC pipes in lower rad support. Mid-ship aux fuel tank 25 gallon feeding the 6.5 when running and the Espar diesel cabin heater as needed. Fuel is lubed w/2 cycle oil 1 oz to 1 gallon. My trailer is a 04 M101a3 w/M116a3 1 ton chassis w/surge brakes 8 lug HMMWV.
I rebuild my own hydro boost, front sealed hubs and injectors as needed.
Planned mods remove NP246 (never had issues with it) replace w/NP241 and Gear Vender gear splitter to lower highway rpms. Replace body mounts w/conical mounts like used on newer vehicles. Find someone to build shocks that will keep the jarring off-road to a tolerable level and install air seats. A P400 in the near future.
