Howdy,

My boss is looking at getting a 1993 K2500 6.5/4L80-E and the transmission is bad. We have a Goodwrench Reman 4L80-E with low miles that was removed from a 1995 K3500 6.5 truck.

I have read that there are possible valve body mods &/or changes that need to be made to the harness...I would really appreciate it if I could get complete details/clarification at what all will need to be done to the Goodwrench 4L80-E for installation in the 1993.

Thank you guys.

2 or 4 wheel drive? If it is a 4X4, you will have to pull the trans apart and swap the reluctor wheel from the 93 to the 95 trans as only 91-93 4L80E's used a reluctor wheel for the output shaft in a 4X4. And the valve body will most likely need to be swapped due to the differrent TCC solenoids.
