1993. I changed the glow plugs the relay/controller module and the light inside comes on for a second and goes off. Any ideas on what to do next??
Signed carpenter at a loss!

Which glow plugs did you use? The 6.9/7.3L system uses 6 volt plugs and it is STRONGLY recommended to use ONLY BERU glow plugs(motorcraft from autozone). Also the big resistor deal on the controller must be installed and still conducting current as that is the 12 to 6 volt step down for the glow plugs. Any small problems in any of the wiring of that system, and it will either pop the glow plugs or not work. It was a very problematic system to keep functioning properly, and many just installed a push button inside the truck to trigger them on, installed a FORD starter solenoid for power, and switched out to 6.2/6.5 glow plugs as they are 12 volt plugs.
