The 94 had in many cases an odd duck injection pump (5068) unless retrofited.
Not an issue, use the 96 IP and just bolt the sucker in.
Now if the 94 has a 5521 or anything other than a 5068 IP just use the entire package and your set.
As was mentioned, the oil cooler lines can be a minor issue. The 94 will have smaller tapped holes in the block for the quick connectors to screw into
The cooler ends of these lines may also be different as they went to a larger cooler, lines and fittings on the later engines.
Its all very easily doable.
Mix and match what you need to get the thing in there.
The basic engine is identical with the exception of (AS MENTIONED) oil cooler ports and possibly the Oil pressure switch location. (94 had it back by the LH head and the later one may be in the valley, but the rear port is still there)
One other thing. The 94 will have 3/8-16 theaded bolts in the bellhousing, the 96 may have metric.
Standard bolts are easy to come by. Use grade 5 or 8 and if you can find them, use washer headed bolts (Has flange head)
Good luck
