Here is a spread sheet for figuring your new timing offsets for modified timing tables. This is VERY important for people in cold climates that don't want there trucks to sound like it's eating rocks when it's cold.
This spread sheet is more so for LLY+ trucks, but it can allow you to change your pilot timing to keep the start of pilot injection the same when you have added timing to the main table. It also has a VE calculator in it and several others more so geared for VVT trucks.
Heres another must have tool. This is for GM's tis2web so that you can type in your VIN number, and it will tell you what calibration and such your particuliar vehicle requires. You can use this info, and compare it to tune files you download and match up the segments to obtain the correct tune file for your vehicle.
