Steve just ran a 7.77 in the 1/8 at Mobile, Al

using the NHRA conversion factor of 1.6

that converts to a 12.432 in the 1/4...

and that is without putting the truck on a diet...

still has the aluminum bed cover fuel tank tool box combo... and spare tire...

Nice time!

#2 only?

Mod list is trans, tune and lift pump only? Very impressive for just that.

#2 only...maybe a big dose of power service(I don't know)

he's got exhaust and an LMM CP3 also...but a stock airbox...

torsion bars lowered way down and Dura-Max® spring clamps... made by him...
and Dura-Max® tie-rod sleeves also made by him...

he's using the tire pressures I posted for you to try...and launching at 2100 RPM

I think he was using one of these...

He's made some more runs...and still improving...I'll let him fill ya'll in on those...
very impressive...Congrats Steve!

I'd like to have been running in that cool dry air you had tonight...perfect for making HP...

Key to being fast

Shorten the track 30 feet !

You read that right. Its a great track, concrete launch pad BUT it 30 feet short of 1/8 mile and its NHRA track !? I don't know why. The shut down area is short.

My best
reaction time .186 on a .000 tree
60ft 1.72
330ft 5.22
594ft 7.11
1/8 mile 7.67 right I'm sure
mph 80.46
The people were amazed at the speed of a big truck. They never seen what a diesel could do. They just don't whats coming in the furture. Yet! Poor things.

When you kept telling me you were going back out on the track each phone call...all I could think of was what the heck is he doing? hasn't he learned from my mistakes? I really think them twenty passes one after another in
Baton Rouge have something to do with the latest HG problems...

I just don't want to see you mess yours up...

of course that's why the rebuild on mine is going to be stout...

Your times add up now, since the track is 30 ft short.

I'm running 4 more MPH and a best of a 8.1

 = confused

hover your mouse pointer over the smilies to the right and most of them will tell you what they are...

:joke::biggrinjester:

Actually...I've tried to figure out what 30 foot less of track would equate to...but it is just too confusing...math isn't my strong subject  <--- that BTW = embarrassed):h
