chevy suburban repower

I bought a rebuilt trans and it has the fifth gear upgrade and I got them to put a 2wd chevy tail housing on it so I can use the gm factory speed sensor, and they supplied me a bell housing I still need a fork and I got a Valiar Clutch from CumminsPerformancePars.com thats good for 450hp I figure with the mods Im going to do it ll be around 400hp.

Got some work done today on the engine and got the parts off the Dodge so I can take it to the scrap yard, I ordered 60lbs valve springs they were on back order they should be here mid week, got the p pump pulled off and the tappet cover off, Its been busy I m planning a big weekend for the 18th.

spent the money and bough new main and rod bearings and main stud kit also decided to sent the engine to the machine shop and put the new bearings in and check the line bore and possibly put rings in it.subcummins022.jpgsubcummins023.jpgsubcummins024.jpg

I got a call from the machine shop and they said it would be a good idea and put rings in it and clean up the cylinder walls they said it would be about $800 and i bough the rings they were $300, I dont even want to know how much ive spent on everything so far but I m this deep in why stop now.

I ve got the engine back and I m cleaning up some parts now and reassembling the engine I will get some pictures posted Monday and hopefully get the engine painted.

Got engine painted and reassembled sill waiting to sand blast the oil pan and a few other parts, still need to get a few thing cleaned up and painted or powder coated.cummins rebuild.jpgcummins rebuild1.jpgcummins rebuild4.jpgcummins rebuild2.jpgcummins rebuild3.jpgcummins rebuild3.jpgcummins rebuild5.jpgcummins rebuild6.jpgcummins rebuild7.jpg

What fan? I got some electric pushers when I did mine. They are GM and bolt up like their made for it (because they are).
Look up the fan for a big block.

when i did mu cummins swap i used the stock cummins fan. autoworld motor mounts are made to do that i did notch the core support to bring the rad just a little more up. never had issue with cooling or fan hitting the rad
